Done with install on the pine tongue and groove ceiling. It turned out really beautiful!
All rough sawn lumber has been SLR, and planed to 11/16″ thick. Today I completed the task of running 1000′ linear feet through the shaper to complete the (v-groove) tongue and groove. Everything went smooth, and it couldn’t have turned out better! Last step is spraying the finish and it will be ready for install.
This is about 500 bf of rough sawn knotty pine that I SLR, and planed to 5/8″ thick. All SLR was done on my home made jig that rips a perfect edge on lumber up to 12′ long. It will now get run through the shaper to get the v-groove(tongue & groove) profile, and clear coated with M.L. Campbell’s EnviroMax pre-cat Lacquer. When all is done, it will be installed on a vaulted ceiling in a beautiful new construction home.
